Customer Experience

A customer’s journey with us doesn’t just begin when they board our trains but starts the moment they enter our stations. At MTR Elizabeth line we want to give every customer a journey they will remember for all the right reasons.

Working in the Customer Experience team you will be a friendly face and someone who is always ready to answer questions and tackle any problems. You’ll make customers feel important and valued by interacting with them regularly throughout the day and providing them with up-to-date and accurate information to help smooth their journey.

It takes special qualities to get journeys off to the best possible start and ensure they finish with a smile. We’re seeking individuals who are naturally helpful, warm and welcoming, and who are not easily fazed, even when the unexpected happens.

You’re the kind of person who steps in when you sense someone needs a little help. You like going the extra mile to resolve issues before they turn into problems. You can see the world through other people’s eyes, and you know how to make things right when they go wrong. You are also eager to pick up new technologies fast. There can be challenging days so it’s not for everyone. But when a customer says you’ve made their day, there’s no feeling like it.

Apprenticeships

We’re proud to have delivered many industry firsts through our commitment and innovative approach to creating quality apprenticeships, which offer meaningful career opportunities to a largely local workforce. Investing in our award-winning apprenticeship programme is just one way we are successfully integrating with the diverse local communities in which we operate.

Apprenticeships are a great way to upskill new and existing colleagues who earn while they learn, allowing colleagues to continue working while gaining the skills, knowledge and qualifications they need to progress their career.

Since 2015, over 630 of our colleagues have undertaken an apprenticeship in one of the 20 occupational standards we have offered ranging from Train Driver and Customer Service Specialist to Cyber Security and Data Analyst – the range is extensive.

Business Services

You’ll find many opportunities to make your mark in one of our Business Services teams, which includes Finance and IT, People and Culture, Procurement and Concession Management – to name a few. We’re committed to continuous improvement and to making a difference in everything we do. Although often behind the scenes, our Business Services teams are vital to the overall success of MTR Elizabeth line.

With 117 km of track to look after 24/7, the team has to be on the ball at all times. As well as being expert problem solvers, able to quickly find solutions to minimise any impact to our service or our customers, the Control team is also trained to prepare for the unexpected and address any issues that arise in a methodical and calm manner.

The availability, reliability, safety and performance of our state-of-the-art fleet are all fundamental to the experience we offer customers.
